Default CD Burning Temp Directory

I've indentified the temp drive that XP should write to
prior to burning a CD (drag and drop) but the system
continues to put the image on the wrong drive, which does
not always have enough room to accomodate it. How do I
change the default location where XP stores the image
prior to it being written to the CD-RW? Thanks.
