Default CD-RW drive unable to read "new" cd-roms

The message "please insert disk" appears, although I have
already inserted a disk that had come out a few months
ago.

I then realised my cd drive could not play anything new,
just this cd that was probably intended for windows 95,
and some other ones.

That means there is nothing wrong with my CD-ROM, but
something wrong with the computer's config. Please help.

Ok, I found out it can read:
"Win XP Retail", "Elmo's Deep Sea Adventure", "Age of
Mythology". Im not sure if theres anything else

But it cant read:
"Jedi Knight 3, Jedi Academy", "Jedi Knight 2, Jedi
Outcast", "Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2". There might be more
though. (I'm a gamer )
