Boot Sector Explorer

When I installed the program Boot Sector Explorer, AVG Resident Shield
popped up with a warning of two (or three) files.

I think I deleted some from vault, but I see in my vault:

"Tojan Horse Generic10.UGD. and the path to the setup file: bsectexp.exe

Is this really a threat? I was surpised that AVG reported viruses.

I have a handful of Generic10.UGD files in the vault. They tend to be in
RECYCLER/NPROTECT. (I wonder if I should get rid of RECYCLER.)

Okay that RECYCLER thing is where files from the Recycle Bin or Norton
Recycle Bin go and they are tricky to delete.

I've not tried thi what I found, but I think that you can remove files in
RECYCLER using DOS commands:

1. Start --> Run --> opens the run dialog box
2. Enter "cmd". Click "OK" --> opens the DOS dialog box
3. Navigate to the "Recycler" folder.
- type "cd.." at the prompt to move up the directory
- type "cd Recycler" at "C:\" to access the Recycler directory
4. Type in "del <filename>" to delete file(s)

Oh, I think it's a lot easier than that at least for a Norton Recyle Bin.

I've never understood what Norton Prtoected Files is, but I think when you
have a Norton Protected Recyle Bin, files deleted from it go to Norton
Protected Files, which means they end up in a RECYCLER folder. So, files
deleted from Norton Recycle Bin don't really go away UNTIL you empty the
Norton Protected Files. Which you do by right-clicking on the Norton Recycle
Bin Icon on your desktop and selecting "Empty Norton Protected Files".

Not sure what the deal is with Windows Recycle Bin.
