Default Problem with new system

Hi

I just want to know if a FX 5600 is better than a geforce 3

basically ive got a radeon 9800 pro and not saying that this is the problem its just that when i play games i seem to get random crashes and havent got a clue what to do.

so iam gonna use a FX 5600 to see if it helps my problem, but in the mean time iam gonna use my geforce 3, but havent done this yet so my problem may come back, which i hope it does cos then the radeon 9800 pro is ok, its just software related.

my setup is the following, maybe someone knows why i get crashes in game,,,, play game for a bit, varys, then screen locks, you get a "send report message to microsoft" thing come up.
then when it cloeses down, the contrast/lighting on my desktop is messed up.

2800XP
512mb CORSAIR x 2
radeon 9800 pro
120gb diamond
350w psu, *which is sending enough power out*
windows XP
NF7-S mobo version 2

used uptodate drivers
checked voltages
checked heat
replaced parts

still no luck.

just to note, iam using an old PC as the new one is at someone elses house.

Default

an fx 5600 better than gf3?....

one huge answer

YES!

they are the l8st cards to come out by nvidia, i have an fx5200 and love it, an fx 5600 beats most gf4 "ti" cards.

why your 9800 pro crashes, i have no idea, perhaps there is a compatability issue with the game.
