I'm having difficulty figuring out how to delete entries in the address
book used by the Windows XP FAX Wizard. I can see how to edit the entries, but not how to delete an entire person. Thanks for your help, Tom |

Start by posting which address book you configured XP Fax to use.

I didn't select the address book. I followed the instructions in the
Microsoft document entitled "How to enable and configure the fax service in Windows XP." I found it at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306550 Tom Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote: > Start by posting which address book you configured XP Fax to use. When you install Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2002, the fax service switches to the Outlook Address Book (OAB) as its source for fax addresses. So you don't need to maintain two address books—just one will do." So, depending on which address book you're using, edit (or delete) the contact in Outlook or Start > All Programs > Accessories > Address Book -- Lem -- MS-MVP To the moon and back with 2K words of RAM and 36K words of ROM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Guidance_Computer http://history.nasa.gov/afj/compessay.htm |

You did select the address book. Apparently, you just weren't aware you did.
XP Fax uses the default address book service for your OS, which you have yet to divulge. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Tom" <Underdogs@comcast.net> wrote in message news:h0pbnh$a4t$1@news.eternal-september.org... >I didn't select the address book. Thanks Lem; that took care of it. Since I don't have Outlook I went
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Address Book and found it immediately. Tom Lem wrote: > Tom wrote: >> I didn't select the address book.
