Default ATA Flash card showing as Local disk

My problem is that when I use an Addonics PCMCIA card reader to read my ATA
Flash card it shows a Local Disk.

The application I use (old and painful) needs to see the flash card as a
Removable drive.

Any help please.

Get another flash reader (USB?), say goodbye to the problem.

Thank PA, that was on my list of possible solutions.

I also found the it is possible to flip the Removable Media Bit using a
program called BootIT. That worked on lots of USB devices I have, but not on
this one.

So we are moving to the short term solution for this job and going back to
Addonics for a more permanent answer. With 10 devices to replace I will work
the problem more before throwing them all away.

Cheers,
