Default file extention 'xlsx'

I am trying to open an excel file having extention 'xlsx', in windows vista. Unable to open it with Microsoft Exel. Need help.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum...

The .xlsx file extension is for MS Excel 2007, I assuming that you don't have Office 2007. You need to download the Office 2007 Compatability Pack from here :

Oh one last thing, for future reference.... you could trying saying please when asking for help, or at least post and introduction
