I just got a new computer with vista which uses windows mail. However, I
would like to use outlook 2000 for my email. How do I disable windows mail
and get outlook to work with this system?

Install Outlook and set it as the default client. What is the point of
"0x800ccc17" as your message subject? If you are getting that as an error
message I would suggest reposting in the outlook group, as that is the
subject of your question.

Outlook 2000 will not work very well in Vista. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/vista.htm

Windows Mail cannot be uninstalled, but if you install Outlook 2003 or later,
Outlook will work fine, and will keep Windows Mail dormant.
