Install Windows Embedded from Windows Embedded CD`s.
First install your copy of WindowsXP on Drive C:\ after installing your PC, you can continue with the Windows XP Embedded installation There are 4 CD`s, from the first 2 install $B!H(BXPE$B!I(B in Drive $B!H(BC:/$B!I(B (XP Embedded), and from the last 2 CD's update the XPE. Run Component Database Manager, choose Package: Windows XP Embedded Client (x86) [Version } After choosing Package please go to: D:\Program Files\Windows Embedded\utilities\ and run tap.exe to get the Hardware Information from the computer! Second step: Run the Target Designer. File $B"*(B New $B"*(B Type Configuration Name: 3. Go File $B"*(B import: C:/Progam Files/Windows Embedded/utilities/ DEVICES.PMQ 4. Set a name for the Log File and start importing. 5. Press the F5 button 6. Double Click the components down in the tasks and fill the correct check boxes. 7. Press the F5 button AGAIN for Dependency check. 8. Double Click the components down in the tasks and fill the correct check boxes. 9. Press the F5 button AGAIN!!! 10.From the Component Menu on the left-hand side of the screen choose all Software components that you need for the installation. and check their properties when (Click +) Change the settings for$B"M(B Internet Explorer Information Appliance Home Gateway Enhanced Write filter Eng Lang Support Configuration Explorer Client/Server Runtime Advance SetTop Box Winlogon Samle Macro Windows .NET Messenger User Account Administrator Account Telnet Server Terminal Service System Restore Core System Cloning Tool Regional and Language Option Networking Application Compatibility Internet Explorer Technologies File Based Write filter DVD Playback Dr. Watson Debugger Device update agent ATI Radeon (Videocard Settings) 11.Press the F5 button AGAIN!!! 12.Save the project 13.Press F7 to Build your XPE Image but do it in a different folder e.g. D:\XPE1 14.Copy all files from D:\XPE1 except boot.ini to D:\ 15.Put the line: multi(0)disk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=$B!H(BMicrosoft Windows XP Embedded$B!I(B /fastdetect 16.**Restart the System After a restart, the build will be complete, and WinXpEmbedded will start automatically |
