I have a pc and recently installed a wireless router so a remote pc in our
house could access the web. Foolishly I started pressing buttons and now I don't have administrative priviledges to my own computer. I now log in as a guest and I never had to log in at all before. So now I don't know where to start to untangle all this. |

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL two times Type in administrator and the password Login Change your account type. -- Galen (Not Current MS-MVP) My Geek Site: http://kgiii.info Web Hosting: http://whathostingshould.be "In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason backwards. That is a very useful accomplishment, and a very easy one, but people do not practise it much. In the every-day affairs of life it is more useful to reason forwards, and so the other comes to be neglected. Safe Mode: http://kgiii.info/windows/all/general/safemode.html If you log out, press start and select log out, you can then press the CTRL + ALT + DEL twice and login again by typing in another user name, in this case administrator and the appropriate password. -- Galen (Not Current MS-MVP) My Geek Site: http://kgiii.info Web Hosting: http://whathostingshould.be "In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason backwards. To enter Safe Mode tap F8 right at Power on/Startup.
A list of startup options will present themselves. Use the UP arrow to reach Safe Mode, hit ENTER. -- Mick Murphy - Qld (Sunshine State) - Australia "Trayon5" wrote: > > > "Galen" wrote: > > > My reply is at the bottom of your sent message. > > > > In news:0C70338C-90A2-4390-BD7A-3994D4DBC7F6@microsoft.com, > > Trayon5 <mshow@earthlink.net> typed: > > > > > > > I have a pc and recently installed a wireless router so a remote pc in > > > our > > > house could access the web.
