everytime I open Outlook 2007 I get Genreal failure. The URL was
"http:/r.office.microsoft.com/r/rlidOfficeSearchInstallRTM?c...". The system
cannot find the specified file.

Just installed Office professional upgrade 2007

Start with Help, Office Diagnostics. Since you upgraded, make a new profile
too.
