Default "New Official ATI Drivers Available"

For the Radeon card, all versions, all OS's.

Enjoy!

These catalyst drivers make the radeon 8500 a worthy competitor to the GF4 Ti4200!

Default Blimey

This is quite incredible. I've just installed these drivers and am now able to run my cheapo 19" Iiyama 1451 at 1280x1024 x 32 bit x 85Hz.

Prior to the installation I could only run at the above settings at 75Hz, which gave me noticeable flicker on a large white screen, such as a blank Word document.

Now I'm largely flicker-free and the picture quality looks better as well.

Me well pleased

ATi has not had a good reputation in the past as far as driver support goes and reliability, but it's nice to see that they're at least trying to get it right (unlike Creative *cough*).

I took XP off and put 2000 SP4 on my photo and video machine cause for some reason it performs better.
my ati drivers were 2 years old.
Thank Muckshifter for remindin me to do this.
