Hi All,
I've installed service pack 1 and had to restore my system back to the settings prior to installing it as it caused the sound on my laptop to dissapear!!! Sorry.. to be precised it says ' no audio devices installed'. Does that mean that the service pack 'uninstalled' my audio? I have a Vaio VGN-CR13G. HELP!!!! |

Yes, it means that SP1 uninstalled the audio driver. It uninstalls all
drivers. It then reinstalls them before finishing. There are a few drivers that have to be manually reinstalled after upgrading to SP1. The mfgs have been updating the drivers not written quite correctly that behave this way so make sure your drivers are all the latest available from the mfg and then upgrade again. Or upgrade and plan to manually reinstall the audio driver. The driver itself is fine but just does not permit the SP1 installer to reinstall it.
