If it is a beta, there will be both a time limit (dead date) and activation
limit (I believe it is 5.) Non-beta activation limit is typically by product which for Vista, I believe is 5. Vista SP1 has a KMS activation time limit of 180 days. It reactivates every 30 days resulting in 5 activations + 30 days before RFM kicks in. Non-activation gives 30 days use which can be extended up to 3 times for a total of 120 days. https://partner.microsoft.com/download/UK/40056143 "Bryce" <Bryce@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:83DB7086-87C4-43B1-BEC0-554076C864CC@microsoft.com... > Hi, i have a copy of Windows Vista Business Version from someone who has a > Licenses for MSDN, and i was wondering what the amount of times you can > activate the copy of Vista remember that it is an MSDN licenses, NOT the one > you can buy in the store |

Software licenses obtained from a MSDN subscription can
only be used by the MSDN subscriber. They cannot be sold, given away, or used by another individual or party. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience - Windows Vista Enthusiast --------------------------------------------------------------- "Bryce" <Bryce@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:83DB7086-87C4-43B1-BEC0-554076C864CC@microsoft.com... You need your own product key, not your friends MSDN one. You can either
subscribe to MSDN yourself or purchase a retail product key. I suggest that you return the item to your friend with a polite thank you, but no thank you, and provide for your own copy of Vista.
