Default Factory Image

What is Factory Image, and why does it exist? I've just loaded s/w on
computer and D:Factory image is full - on a 750gig HD. Lots of room on C,
but what is factory image all about, and am I supposed to do something with
it???

The factory image allows you to repair or reinstall
your computer manufacturer's OEM version of
Windows. You should not touch this drive partition
by adding files to it.

The recovery partition should be about 10GB. Follow the instructions that
came with your computer to generate recovery disks so that you have both the
disks and the recovery partition to use if you need to restore the computer
to factory condition. The disks are back up in the event the hard drive
itself fails and needs to be replaced.
