Default Error message upgrading to Vista

While upgrading a Tecra A9-S9016x from XP Pro sp2 to Vista business I got
the following error message:

"The installation at 0x6a2ece30 referenced memory at 0x6a2ece30. The
required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of
0xc000000e."

Then it asked me to click OK to terminate the installation.

This can during the 5th stage of the installation where is said completing
the upgrade and it had rebooted to the point where it was "stting up your
computer"

Any help would be appreciated....

Thanks
