The host 'pop3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'ASSISTANT DIRECTOR', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'pop3', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D

'pop3' is not a valid server name, although it is a valid protocol. The
correct
server names depend on which email provider you are using.

Unless you work for Microsoft, you probably don't have an email address
ending in @microsoft.com. If you do, ask for further instructions at work.

Many people choose their internet providers as their email providers also,
since most internet accounts include one or more email accounts. Ask your
email provider for their instructions for setting up to use their email
servers.
If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail, their instructions
for
Outlook Express should also work under Windows Mail if they don't call
for the HTTP protocol. The instructions are probably somewhere on their
web site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider is and see if
anyone
here already knows where to find their instructions.

You are posting via Cable One. If that is your ISP, use their email setup
instructions: http://help.cableone.net/email/msoe/
Those instructions are for Outlook Express, but they will work in Windows Mail.
