After I receive my new Dell XPS 630 computer, I plan to install windows Live
Mail. I would appreciate any comments to the following questions: a. Is there a specific procedure for installing windows Live Mail, other than just double clicking on the WLinstaller.exe file? I plan to have the DSL connection, Antivirus, screen saver, and Windows Defender disabled prior to the installation. b. Will the existing mail program (Windows Mail) that comes with Vista, be disabled or deleted when windows Live Mail is installed, or will I have to disable or deselect the program as the default mail program? Thanks for any help, Sam. |

The install will set WLM as the Default mail client, it will remove all desktop shortcuts etc to WM. Any problems with or after the install should be addressed to: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microso...ve.mail.desktop -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP : Mail. [DTS] UK. |
