Did you call tech support at Telus? How about a restore back to before your
issue started?

A Google search on your error number shows plenty of helpful links. Your
firewall could now be blocking the necessary port for your email to work.
Google the following phrase: error 0x800CCC0E

Which antivirus program are you running? Some of them are not
compatible with Windows Mail.

Sorry, I missed what you said about Norton Antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most Norton and
McAfee antivirus programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, NOT just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

I'm having the same problem periodically. I've had my computer for almost a
year and every now and then Windows Mail won't send out my email. The
internet provider says its a Windows Mail problem and won't help me. It was
working yesterday; how come it won't work today---what should I do? Sounds
like a Microsoft problem that should be addressed. Us users get so
agitated...grrrrr!!!

Rather than growl and complain, how about providing us a few details about
the problem. "It was working yesterday; how come it won't work today---what
should I do?" is pretty much the same as calling your mechanic and saying
"My car won't start! It would start yesterday, what's wrong with it?". How
about telling us what kind of account you have, what happens when you try to
send, the contents of any error messages, whether you have an AntiVirus
scanner or not, that kind of stuff.
