I have a message in my inbox dated 21/4/2008 which I cannot delete. The
message is from 'Customer Service' - I can't view the message or the properties. When I try to delete I get a message 'An unknown error has occurred' and will not delete. I'm using Vista with Windows Mail. Help please. Terry D. |

For a temporary fix, download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail not running: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 Although it's labelled as for stuck messages in the Outbox, it also works in other folders. If you don't know whether you have a 32-bit version of Vista or a 64-bit version, try the hotfix for the 32-bit version first. The update Vista SP1 also includes this hotfix, but takes longer to install. .. |

One of the versions of the hotfix will just refuse to install, but there's still a chance to other one will. |

There's also a WORKAROUND section at that web site, which
you may need to try.
