Switching from Norton to McAfee is like jumping from the frying pan
into the fire!

Also, checking mail at one minute intervals is way too frequent.
The minimum I would advise is 5 minutes. More frequent accesses
tend to cause your mailbox on he server to 'hang'.

If you want to be rid of this problem, uninstall McAfee, then use
the special removal utilities for getting the remaining tentacles
of those monstrosities surgically excised:
