Switching from Norton to McAfee is like jumping from the frying pan
into the fire! Also, checking mail at one minute intervals is way too frequent. The minimum I would advise is 5 minutes. More frequent accesses tend to cause your mailbox on he server to 'hang'. If you want to be rid of this problem, uninstall McAfee, then use the special removal utilities for getting the remaining tentacles of those monstrosities surgically excised: http://service1.symantec.com/Suppor...005033108162039 http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocume...=107083&lc=1033 -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "diannejefferson8" <diannejefferson8.37i0j0@no-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:diannejefferson8.37i0j0@no-mx.forums.net... > > Not a huge problem as I can at least send and receive emails manually > but can anyone suggest why my Windows Mail account no longer checks for > new mail automatically, even though it's still set up to do so every > minute?
