Hi Bob
Evidently that did not work. I have this error message: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Re: Stirling Offices/Restrooms schedule', Account: 'pop-server.tampabay.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.tampabay.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F What can I do? -- DonBotto "Bob" wrote: > Tools>Accounts>Properties>Advanced tab. > ------- > *Report back, please* > > "Don Botto" <Don Botto@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:F8B0FE4D-A31E-43CE-85C9-D632BE264A8E@microsoft.com... > > How do I change my outgoing email from port 25 to port 80 > > |

Roadrunner doesn't use port 80, anyway.
Are you connected to Roadrunner when this happens? Are you trying to send attached files? It could be your anti-virus/spyware/spamware programs. what ones are you running? Try disabling them one at a time, and try to send again. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Don Botto" <DonBotto@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:314B335A-EA9E-4AEA-ADA7-EB76C28665B9@microsoft.com... > Hi Bob > > Evidently that did not work. Why in heaven's name are you trying to change to port 80?
That won't work with Road Runner. As we told you earlier, your error message indicates interference from a third party security program. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Don Botto" <DonBotto@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:314B335A-EA9E-4AEA-ADA7-EB76C28665B9@microsoft.com... > Hi Bob > > Evidently that did not work. Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular resident protection. Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's anti-virus seems to be causing problems too. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not reply with email |
