set up total media center

I need some help. I have:
HD LCD TV (room A)
DELL XPS (Room B)
COMCAST DIGITAL CABLE BOX (room A)
LINKSYS MEDIA EXTENDER DMA 2100 (room A)
LINKSYS WIRELESS ROUTER N (room C)
INCOMING COMCAST CABLE (room A)

I would like to request a schematic of the setup. Where does the comast
cable enter? Does it enter the comacst cable box that goes into the tv? Or
does is go in my pcs tv tuner?

There is no way we can answer that without knowing how your system is set
up, how you want to use Media Center, if you want to record HD programming,
what TV tuner you have, etc. I would suggest reposting to one of the Media
Center groups and checking out www.thegreenbutton.com

1. I would like to record HD programming yes
2. My main question is do I need to plug the TV Cable into my PC or do I
leave it in the Comcast Digital SetupBox to my TV?
3. Can I record HD Programming via Media Extender and wireless back to my pc?
The main problem I have is that there is no tv cable running in the room my
pc is setup in.........

Still too many variables, you need an HD tuner to record HD programming,
depending on which channels you want to record you'll need to connect the PC
tuner to the cable box, not directly to the wall.

Until you get that taken care of your not going to record anything, as I
suggested, repost to one of the Media Center forums, more knowledgeable
people there than I, and that is where technical and detailed Media Center
discussion belongs.

Your cable cable should plug into your cable box and a cable running from
your tv to your pc turner card. The one running from your tv to computer
should either be rca cables or s-video. If your tv turner card has an hdmi
port like your hd lcd tv then you should use that.
