Default Can't Install Vista- I get Blue screened...

Hi All... I am building this mach from scratch, so I picked Vista hardware...

Such as:
Abit IP35v mobo, Intel P4-D 930, OCZ Pc 6400 DDR2 2x2gig(4gig) and MSI
NS8500GT TD256E-OC PCIe 16x video... Pioneer DvD DL writer SATA...

Others:
Rosewill RAID PCIe 1x controller w/2ea Seagate 250G SATA2 HD, 2ea TV tuners
550 Theater Pro, Fatal1ty X-Fi sound...

The only hardware items migrating to the New box, from my old box, is the TV
tuners & X-Fi sound brd... all PCI devices...

I am trying to install Vista from scratch, I purchased an OEM copy of Home
Premium...

After wrestling with trying to find a Partitioning prog that would Boot from
a SATA DvD ROM, I plugged my PATA model in and was able to partition the RAID
volume... But got a Blue screen saying something about "my system was halted
to save it from damage, etc"
stopped at 0x00000124 (0x00000000,0x8BC50028,0x000000,0x00000000)... When I
Booted from Vista CD, and started the install... That was with all hardware
in place...

I have removed everything, now I have Mobo, mem, CPU/ sink, video, PATA DvD
& 1ea SATA HD, partitioned w/ Pri NTFS Bootable, on port 1...

I still get Blue screen, but the numbers are alittle differant...
Only the numbers changed to 0x8BD9DD18...

The install goes as far as Displaying "Microsoft Corp" with a green strobe
L>R... and then Blue screens about 1-2mins into the install... or should I
say after the strobe appears...

Any ideas? I have tried a differant video card, but it Blue screens almost
emediatly when the green strobes starts up... with different numbers again...
0x8BD50028...

I'm frustrated as all getout... So any suggestions, would be appreciated...

A lot of people have reported probs trying to install with 4G of RAM installed.
They have 2G in your case, and re-installed it after the OS was properly
installed.

Thanks Mick, I have tried your suggestion and it still Blue screens... I have
even tried putting a PATA IDE drive in the system with no luck so far...
Still Blue screens...

I suspect the Mobo has a defect of some sort, I am going today to see whats
on the local market...

Thx again...

Give you memory voltage a bump up a few notches in the BIOS. Better
yet, check the voltage requirements for your memory and be sure to set
that value in the BIOS.

I would do a web search of the blue screen's stop code with another computer
and you will get a link to Microsoft's web site support page for that exact
BSOD.
