Default media player wont play DVD files

i upgraded from XP pro to vista and i cannot seem to get medial player
to play DVD files like it did in XP

What i did, i left XP installed on a 40GB "C"drive and installed vista
"clean" on a 300GB "d" drive, hoping i could import a few inportant
files and bookmarked internet sites later. Is there any way to find
the codec from XP and install it into media player in vista???

TIA for any and all help

Gene

I don't know what you installed; but I have no probs with it!
You have to read what you are installing!
