This to upgrade fails, cannot install required files, zero ex 8007

I have Windows Media Center installed on a HP Desktop in a Windows Domain. I
wanted to experiment with Vista to see if I could get a clean install of
Vista, Office 2007, Dragon Naturally Speaking, and Adobe Pro.

When I do the install I select Clean install, I selected the get updated
drivers. The install copies the files and then errors out with the following
error "Cannot install Required files 0x80070020.

Just as a side note, I was able install Vista to a VM Machine running on
this system.

Does anyone have a workaround?
