ACK! Vista has been corrupted. With previous versions of Windows it was an
easy fix to just reinstall right on top of current installation - I called it an overlay. Any missing/corrupted .dll things were put right and I got to keep my data. Anyone know whether this will work with Vista? Also, this is a Gateway pc and they have some crazy partitions with a backup section that I think is just a space waster. Any input? -- 3. Celeste 2. Yeah, the info in the webpage REALLY screwed me over. I think the person who
replied to me is an idiot who don't know jack about what they were spouting off about. All I got was a bunch of: I lost my hard drive, lost data, lost my favorites, wasted time, made me wanna cry, etc. Last time I checked this, the person who replied was listed as an MVP. Phooey. And the directions I got were a bunch of crap, also. And the link was to a different page. More phooey. -- 3. Celeste 2. Brianna 1. Bewty "Brink" wrote: > > CelestialBabe;671237 Wrote: > > ACK! I mean that the link I sent me to the private page of someone and the link
currently sends me to someplace else, which may be an incorporation of previous, but it's NOT taking me to the same place. No matter, I'm *still* recovering as best I can from viral infection, which is why I posted the question in the first place. If I EVER catch hold of the sender ... so help me! Still don't know whether the sender was truly the person who the email was addressed from and they just won't admit the truth or if the email was forged, but it sure jacked me up and I'm mad as a friggin' hornet. -- 3.
