Default R6031 Attempt to initialize the CRT more than once

I keep getting this error. Online search turns up C++ code that exceeds my
technical skill, and the regedit entry suggested for deletion doesn't show up
in my regedit. Help!

Press F8 on restart to go to Safe Mode.
Start orb, type:
devmgmt.msc
Choose your Display Adapter, and use Action menu, "Uninstall" (do Not choose
to delete the driver), then, Action/"Scan for Hardware Changes"
