I used to have a Network Icon in the RH Tray, with a blue mark to show
the Internet connection was up and running. All of a sudden it showed a red cross, yet the internet connection was still OK. Yesterday the icon disappeared altogether and I can't see how to get it back! It is not one of the hidden icons Frenchy |

Hi Frenchy,
Try disabling and then enabling the Lan Connection. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl to launch the Network Connections dialog. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com Winhelponline.com blog http://www.winhelponline.com/blog "Frenchy" <Invalid@invalid.com> wrote in message news:fv00ge$9fg$1@aioe.org... I had gone to the Notification area before (when I posted this problem) and that option was greyed out. I had uninstalled and reinstalled the Network adapter. That did nothing. I guess it is one of life's mysteries why it went bad and righted itself! Now if I could only solve the http pictures not displaying, I would be a happy chappie! Frenchy |
