VISTA Start Menu and taskbar gone after installation SP1

Hi,
I've just installed SP1 for my VISTA ultimate X64 version.
After completing the installation, and after the autoreboot, no start menu
is available, only the desktop with shortcusts are visible.

How do I get a start menu again?
Could someone help me with this?

My system is a Windows VISTA UK 64 Bit Ultimate with dutch language pack
installed.

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for your input.
I didn't use it, because I found another solution
- Boot computer in safe mode, and restore to a pre-SP1 restore point
- install SP1 again. And the problem was solved.
