Default Download Manager


looking for a download Manager that supports mss download types, most of the
ones I have found only support http and ftp.

FTP and HTTP aren't file types, they're download protocols. MSS, on the
other hand, is a file type but there are dozens of files that use it.
Maybe if you were to explain what you're trying to do we could be more
specific.

I am trying to download wmv files from a website the "address" resembles :
mms://69.56.252.6/jdm/wbc_08-14b.wmv also I would like free manages as a
first prefrence but If you know of a good one then I will consider it as well.

Those are streaming files, not downloadable files. You won't be able to
download them with any tool whatsoever.

FlashGet downloaded the file at the link that the OP provided, or rather
part of it until I cancelled the d/l. I tried it out before posting the
recommendation.
