Hi,
I've got a problem with Windows Vista SP1 using IPv6. I'm getting IPv6 addresses over LAN (stateless and stateful) incl. IPv6-DNS-Server. As long as I've got only the LAN online I can access e.g. http://ipv6.google.com But as soon as I bring my WLAN online which only gets IPv4 I'm loosing access to IPv6 websites in both IE7 and Firefox. The metric wasn't changed: 10 LAN, 25 WLAN. Using tcpdump I see that the local dns resolver sends the dns-queries for ipv6.google.com over WLAN - just asking for A-records. How can I avoid this behavior? To my opinion I shouldn't loose IPv6 DNS-resolution if I bring a device with a higher metric online ![]() -- Jens |
