Default vista serv pack 1, how can I tell?

When I go to Windows Update, it tells me that there are no updates for my
computer.
.. Everytime I am prompted, I download and install updates. How can I
tell if one of these updates was service pack 1. Where can I get service
pack 1? Thanks.

In the startup menu, right-click Computer and select Properties.
Under Windows Edition, you'll see your edition of Vista, and on the next
line you'll see:

Service Pack 1

(if it is installed).
