Default Windows is always closing

Got upgrade on computer. Now with Vista, Windows is always closing
improperly. So when go do start up, log in then windows comes up with screen
say "windows was shut down without closing out or windows was shut down due
to a "glitch" in the system". When closing out of screen or online, we
always log off; use the file icon when up to exit screen. Are we missing
something or not closing out properly????

When you say closing improperly, what do you mean? You have to do a hard
shutdown on the computer? What exactly do you do to shut down and exactly
what does the computer respond with? Do you have the start button shut-down
set to what your BIOS supports? Have you tried going to the start button
then the > at the end and selecting shut down?
Please answer all questions on one post please.
