Default Problem with MIME in Outlook 2003 on Vista computers.

Known bug, support refuses to create patch to fix and suggests upgrading to
Outlook 2007.
I think if they refuse to create patch they should offer 2003 Outlook users
a free upgrade to Outlook 2007.
Unless any of you have a solution so that MIME messages are not broken apart
and made unreadable in this situation.

Microsoft is aware and is working on it. Don't know where you got the idea PSS is not prepared to issue a patch *when it is ready.*

This was reply from Microsoft Support stating a patch may be implemented in
the future, it does not say that the patch is complete as you suggest,
please make patch available if it exists...

"I got the reply from our developers and I am sorry to inform you that this
is a bug between Outlook 2003 and Vista incompatible. I personally think what
you would like to implement is very reasonable and understand how frustrating
it is when you find that the product does not meet your needs. I'm indeed
sorry for the inconvenience that this by-design feature of our products has
caused you. I will forward your suggestion to our development team so that
they may improve this by an update patch to be released in the future. Thanks
for your understanding and cooperation."

No way on God's green earth that this is "by design".

This directly refutes what you said first, that they "refuse to create a
patch".

No where did I say that a patch was available now. What I said, and I quote "when it is ready."

If English is not your native language, then I suggest you quit trying to pick nits where they don't exist. Nothing Brian or I said implies anything about:

1. Microsoft refusing to issue a patch
2. Microsoft having a patch ready NOW and refusing to release it

WHEN Microsoft has prepared and TESTED a patch, they WILL make it available THEN, not until.

Thanks for the snippy reply, you must get alot of bonuses...

I was sent a patch but it came password protected and requires me to know
where to install the files, where do Office 2003 patch files go?

the patch is office2003KB951982GLB/11.0000.0000.8216 and after using the
included password it asks me location to install patch, I tried the Office11
folder but the MIME issue did not go away, it is supposedly issue with
Undisclosed Recipients...

I don't get bonuses or any other pay for posting to the news groups. Try again.
