unable to connect to the server smtp.live.com

Outlook 2000, receiving and sending emails worked great since Thursday
04/10/08.
Since then sending emails does not work with all my accounts, providing
error message: "unable to connect to the server" smtp.live.com. Receiving
works perfect.
Any idea what's been happening and how to solve it? Thanks.

Many ISP's have added filters to guard against spam. these filters make it
harder for your system to "talk" to the outbound mail servers. SBC just
implemented this.

Check w/ your ISP.
