When I start outlook, I get a message that says "Microsoft Outlook Has
Stopped Working" and at the bottom it says "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Then of course, you click and it takes you to a place to install updates that won't update. My old computer crashed and I had to buy a new one which stuck me with Vista. All of my other suites work fine, but for some reason, Outlook will not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted over and over again. I've tried everything. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME? Thanks. -- Always In Faith |

Was outlook ever working on this system?
Have you visited MS Update & installed *only* Critical updates, and did that complete? I completed all of the updates and still nothing. I uninstalled and
re-installed. Still didn't work. I went into Control Panel and did a repair on Microsoft Office only, still nothing. I went to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they told me that Outlook XP is not compatible with Windows Vista. I want to get the New Office, but didn't really want to spend the money right now. Any more suggestions would be greatly welcome. Thank you so much for responding, and so quickly. -- Always In Faith "DL" wrote: > Was outlook ever working on this system? > Have you visited MS Update & installed *only* Critical updates, and did that > complete? > > "trayjay" <trayjay@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:271B3831-49F9-47CC-9BC8-F9E9462B2BAC@microsoft.com... > > When I start outlook, I get a message that says "Microsoft Outlook Has > > Stopped Working" and at the bottom it says "A problem has caused the > > program > > to stop working correctly. They are correct OLxp is not fully compatible with Vista, but usually the
problem is with remembering ISP passwords. You could try, Control Panel>Mail Icon>create a new profile (not copy), add the data file and accounts & test "trayjay" <trayjay@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B19B37C0-D4D9-421F-A528-EB252DC93B3D@microsoft.com... >I completed all of the updates and still nothing.
