Hi,
I keep getting random blank appointments appearing in Outlook 2007 SP1. They pop up at a rate of a few (5-15) a day, except on one occasion a few days back when about 2,600 appeared scheduled between 23h30 one day an 04h00 the next. Meeting reminders for the bogus appointments also appear - but not one-to-one. Sometimes I get reminders and when I look, there's nothing there; other times appointments appear without reminders. Any ideas gratefully received - it's starting to drive me nuts. -- Chris |

Hi Diane,
I do synch with a phone (Samsung i780, WM 6), synchronising with Vista Business. I only synch every few days, and the occurrence of the spurious reminders and blank appointments doesn't seem to be correlated in any way with synching. On the phone, there are no equivalent oddities in the calendar. I forgot to mention: my Outlook monitors 3 email accounts which are all plain
old POP3. -- Chris "Diane Poremsky {MVP}" wrote: > do you sync with a pda or phone? > > -- > Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] > Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours > Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ > Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ > > Outlook Tips by email: > dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net > > Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ > Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com > Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: > EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM > > ** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version > when requesting assistance ** > > > "chrisc" <chriscrozier at telkomsa-dot-net> wrote in message > news:26B3F3AE-6B26-4E70-84AF-E96A45D10A53@microsoft.com... > > Hi, > > > > I keep getting random blank appointments appearing in Outlook 2007 SP1. > > They > > pop up at a rate of a few (5-15) a day, except on one occasion a few days > > back when about 2,600 appeared scheduled between 23h30 one day an 04h00 > > the > > next. > > > > Meeting reminders for the bogus appointments also appear - but not > > one-to-one. Dell with mediadirect can cause recurring oddities too.
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/recurringmeetings.htm If you don't have a dell, try not syncing for a couple of weeks and see if its better. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM ** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version when requesting assistance ** "chrisc" <chriscrozier at telkomsa-dot-net> wrote in message news:23618474-B022-4E63-8FF5-2B78FE7571B0@microsoft.com... > I forgot to mention: my Outlook monitors 3 email accounts which are all > plain > old POP3. > -- > Chris > > > "Diane Poremsky {MVP}" wrote: > >> do you sync with a pda or phone? >> >> -- >> Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] >> Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours >> Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ >> Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ >> >> Outlook Tips by email: >> dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net >> >> Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ >> Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com >> Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: >> EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM >> >> ** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version >> when requesting assistance ** >> >> >> "chrisc" <chriscrozier at telkomsa-dot-net> wrote in message >> news:26B3F3AE-6B26-4E70-84AF-E96A45D10A53@microsoft.com... >> > Hi, >> > >> > I keep getting random blank appointments appearing in Outlook 2007 SP1. >> > They >> > pop up at a rate of a few (5-15) a day, except on one occasion a few >> > days >> > back when about 2,600 appeared scheduled between 23h30 one day an 04h00 >> > the >> > next. >> > >> > Meeting reminders for the bogus appointments also appear - but not >> > one-to-one.
