I put together and Access database as a side project at work and stored it on
a network share. I do not have a ton of Access Experience (as will be aptly showcased when you hear my problem). I went through the security wizard and setup a security workgroup file (Security.mdw, I did the shortcut method so it was specific to only the work database). The database was working fine with all users having to sign-in to access it and with the appropriate individual security. Unfortunately, as I was trying to make a backup, I changed some of the security settings around the Admin user and now no one can access the database. Now, when you try and open the database, a message pops up saying, "you don't have the necessary permissions to open up ...database file.... object. I have the original information from when I set up the security. I tried to make a new workgroup to replace the broken security.mdw, but I can't seem to get that to work. When I tried to do this, it still gave me the same prompt as above. How do I use the security wizard report to recreate the workgroup so I can access the database? Please any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks |

Might be worth searching for it. HTH - Keith. www.keithwilby.com |
