LOST DEFAULT WINKS & EMOTICONS!

I used a program to find and delete duplicate pictures on my pc, it's deleted
my default winks and some emoticons as there are 3 accounts on my pc in use,
although it seems to have deleted the duplicates from all accounts. When I
start messenger there are spaces where the winks and emoticons shoud be so I
thought it would be a simple case of deleting the 'space', as when I type a
word, for example 'cool' which is one of the missing emoticons, my typing is
blank. It's possible to delete these missing emoticons but next time I sign
in, there they are again. I'm using messenger 8.5 and running windows xp sp3.
