Cannot install windows messenger

I get this error:
You are not permitted to execute the following program. \setup.exe.
Please contact your administrator if you require access.

What does that mean? How can I install messenger?

I think it means that u r not logged on as administrator. u should use the
administrator account to install programs. Try to log off and log on as
adminstrator.
