If anyone could help me with this it'll be greatly appreciated. I insert a USB flah disk into the pc, and then I let it be shared on the network. I am looking for a way to let the icon that appears in My Computer not to show "the hand" below the icon. This is intended for security purposes. Can any one help me with this?!?

OS is winxp by the way..

It is possible to remove the hand icon within My Computer. I don't have a shared USB Flash drive so I don't know if it would work for that. However, the only way that I know of doing it is via a tweaking program (I used Ashampoo PowerUp XP Platinum 2) and you have to replace the hand overlay with a blank icon overlay (contained in the standard shell set, just look for blank spaces in the columns).


Obviously this must be some sort of registry hack but what key you change? don't know.
