Default How to restrict User?

Hi,

I am wanting to create a user in Active Directory which should have restricted access. When the user logson he/she should only get an explorer page pop up instead of the whole start menu and task bar etc. As this user will only be working on the explorer.

Any help will be appreciated.

Note: If this is in the wrong section, I am sure the mods will be kind enough to move it to the right forum.

Regards,

Areeb,
NZ

Default Here's the way

There are two ways to do that:

1) Move the user to a seperate OU on the dc,create a new group policy and define the settings under the user configuration tab(check the options,it should be under administrative templates),apply the GPO to the OU
2) Define all the settings under the local group policy on the users computer, unless he is smart enough to change it
3) You can also edit the user profile file, rename it to ntuser.man and make it read only, this ensures he cannot make any changes, only browse the internet

Default Some more

You can get explorer to popup by running a startup script, defined under the user profile page
