Default SP1 for Vista Ultimate

I have automatic updates active (installation at night), but have not seen
SP1 listed as an update on my computer or on "Windows Update". Is the
service pack only for non-ultimate versions at this time? Or is there
something I have to do? Or is Microsoft rolling out this a chunk at a time?

Sy

It is available for all flavors of Vista. It is going out in chunks to save
servers. For the standalone package, though, you can download it from:

Hello Sy,

Please check this KB article to determine if your computer is one that is
unable to install SP1 yet:

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows
Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates:

Having a Dell E510 (running Ultimate) with the Sigmatel driver mentioned I
removed the driver expecting it to correct my issue. No go.
After several hors of going back and forth with various audio drivers I
decided to install an 'OPTIONAL update listed in my Windows Update
(BitLOcker and EFS Enhancements). After doing this... Viola ! SP1 was now
showing as an available update.

Downloaded and installed in just under 30 minutes. Just finished this a
couple hours ago and so far everything is working fine, system is more
responsive and Vista now sees all 4 Gig of RAM I have installed (prior to
SP1 it reported 3.22GB .
