Default Keyboard and Vista SP1

I use a Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard and Intellitype Pro
6.2

After installing SP1, three of the keyboard buttons must be disabled in
order to work properly...Web/Home, Mail and Calculator. If they are not
disabled, they will run two instances of the program. For example, two
calculators will appear.

I tried uninstalling Intellitype Pro. The results were that all buttons
were dead, except the three mentioned above. They still worked, even
though the controlling software wasn't there.

These three buttons are being controlled elsewhere, and it started with
SP1. Can anyone shed any light on this?

As I said, even when Intellitype Pro is uninstalled, something is still
controlling those three keyboard buttons. Technically, they should be
dead, as are all of the other buttons. But not these three.

Apparently, no one here has noticed any problems with a MS wireless KB
and Vista SP1. The KB worked as advertised prior to SP1.

Intellitype does not need to be installed for those keys to work. I have
a Microsoft Internet keyboard, and Intellitype has not been installed,
but those keys still work. On another computer I have a Logitech
wireless keyboard with Setpoint not installed, and the same buttons
work on that keyboard. This is with XP Pro and Vista, so I would say
those functions are built into the OS. As expected, the media buttons
don't work.

That's good to know. Anyway, the problem seems to have disappeared as
mysteriously as it arrived.
