I have the exact same problem (control panel, personalize, run command, aero,
etc) as the user in this post http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/co...f4-41fe605468a0 .. I think it happend shortly after I installed SP1. The thing is, when I try to view my updates... the link to the left in "programs and features" doesnt work. It's very frustrating. Any advice? Thanks, Ryan |

Hi Ryan,
Try booting into Safe Mode (F8 during boot). You'll get back a limited number of Control Panel items. If you are real lucky, you will be able to uninstall the patch which is suspected of causing the issue. Greta. I went into save mode and it allowed me to uninstall SP1, and all is
back to normal now. Good thinking Jeffrey! "Jeffrey Walton" wrote: > Hi Ryan, > > Try booting into Safe Mode (F8 during boot). You'll get back a limited > number of Control Panel items.
