It speeds up nothing about UAC, it just looks faster without the split
second switch from unsecure to secured desktop. And, it enables a properly
written bit of malware to usurp control and self elevate. There's nothing
good about that tweak.

Nonsense. UAC is a well-intended, but poorly implemented security feature.

If disabling the secure desktop is enough to convince more people to leave
UAC enabled, then it is a useful tweak. Hopefully, in time, MS will revisit
UAC and make it more usable, but in the meantime, we have to make the best
of it.
