Sorry. Well, if Peter wants, I can share my experiences with him - to soften his disappointment. I came back after 20 minutes, it said "step 3 of 3 - 52% complete - do not switch off your computer". I came back 30 minutes later - it said "step 3 of 3 - 52% complete - do not switch off your computer" I came back 60 minutes after - it said "step 3 of 3 - 52% complete - do not switch off your computer" ...... I swithced off my computer and restarted. (safe mode) The "installation" restarted, picked up the install where it had left off, and "completed 100% successfully". Then the installer undid everything - because it was not a happy install. To add insult to injury - at the next boot up,I got "there are important updates for your PC". I hope this brings more happiness to you all. |
