It isn't clear if other parts of AT&T count as a different internet provider for this. Connections to port 25 that go through such a crossover are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers. Check your setup: <http://support.att.net/bellsouth/asp/browse_subfolder.asp?sprt_fid=0a41840c-0baf-4379-9f63-f578f49fee77> <http://support.att.net/bellsouth/asp/contentview.asp?isbrowse=true&sprt_cid=24dbf61a%2D2ce9%2D4192%2Da589%2D121587e364c2> If you also want to set up a connection to newsgroups, see here: http://my.att.net/newsgroup Click on Newsreader Setup, then Setup Instructions for Microsoft Internet Explorer Newsreader. Even though these instructions were written for Outlook Express, they will also work if you follow the part at the bottom that applies to Windows Mail only. (They hid the instructions well, didn't they?) |

Two questions:
Which antivirus are you running? Did you get that error while using a laptop away from home? -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "JimmyT" <JimmyT@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 8449946-0AE9-41ED-B2AE-A63FE9B3DC67@microsoft.com...>I can receive e-mail, but not send email from windows mail see following error: > Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
