Default 2 emails

I have a AOL account set up as IMAP and every time I send an email it sends
a duplicate Total of 2 email. I do not have a duplicate email account set
up.

What end up in your sent mail? and what goes through your outbox (open it
quickly and see if 2 copies pass-through up there. Then we get to
strangeness in AV software. Make sure it's turned off.

Does this also happen when you send mail to yourself? If it does, take a
look at the two headers and compare the contents. See if you can see
differences in time or routing. You might look for exact times which would
make you come to the conclusion it's split at the destination. OR, if they
are different, they may have been split and launched separately. Or any
other things that jump out at you from observation. Let us know.
